Inserts for high ROP and long bit life
For conical inserts, standard PDC drill bits include varying structure geometries, reducing insert breakage and maximizing ROP in formations sensitive to weight on bit (WOB). Diamond-enhanced heel inserts maintain gauge in hard-formation drilling and significantly increasing cone durability, ensuring extended bit life and a full gauge hole.
High-performance seals and bearings
A uniquely designed seal on standard PDC bits distributes contact pressure over a wider area and provides a more consistent track on the bit leg. This distribution results in an extended seal life, allowing the bit to stay in the hole longer and drill more footage. Furthermore, bearings with silver-plated components allow for longer runs at higher ROPs.
