IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

2. Remove negative(-)cable FIRST and attach LAST to avoid sparks.

3. Work in a well-ventilated area, avoid smoking, sparks and open flames Batteries can emit explosive gases.

4. Replace battery hold-downs being careful to avoid accidental shorting between terminals.

Tips for trouble-free battery operation

1. When installing your new battery hold-downs, check battery cables, terminal connectors and trays for corrosion and wear. If any show signs of deterioration, replace with genuine parts.

2. Remove any corrosion between terminal connectors and posts with a terminal cleaner brush for a clean, firm connection.

3. Use battery testers, Pliers, terminal connector lifters and spreaders to make battery service work easier, faster, and safer.

4. While servicing your battery, install new top or side terminal washers to protect terminals and cable connectors from corrosion.
