LEDWELD exothermic welding is a simple, efficient, high-quality and self contained method for connecting metal conductor. The compact process requires no external power or heat source making it highly portable and easy to use. LEDWELD exothermic welding process is achieved by pouring superheated molten copper alloy (approximately 3000°C) on and around the conductors to be connected according to the aluminothermy process (2Al + 3Cuo--------------3Cu + Al2O3). The reaction is controlled within a graphite mould and it only takes a few seconds. Generally, one single mold has a life-expectancy of 50 times (up to 100 times if appropriately maintained).
