1. Uses

YZJ-70 Type Oil Pressure Gauge can be used to test oil pump and oil duct of oil pressure systems of various cars to find whether oil duct is blocked or there’s oil leakage, thus to timely fix breakdowns and keep engine in good condition.

2. Operational principle and structure

YZJ-70 Type Oil Pressure Gauge consists of pressure gauge, hose of connector and two connectors. The pressure gauge consists of connector, Bourdon tube, metric (British measurement) double scale dial plate and indicator. When it is used, engine oil flows into the Bourdon tube through hose and connector, which brings displacement of free end of the Bourdon tube, and as a result, the indicating needle rotates by means of gear drive to indicate pressure value on the dial plate.

This pressure gauge is provided with Z3/8"NPTF thread, Z1/4"NPTF thread, two connectors and hose coupler(1000mm long), thus it can be flexibly used to test oil pressure of engines different in positions and sizes.

4. Test method

First take down the low oil pressure switch and install oil pressure gauge by means of proper adapter that suits the engine, then start the engine and read out the pressure value indicated on the pressure gauge; after that, stop the engine, take down the oil pressure gauge, and finally install the low oil pressure switch.

5. Points for maintenance and attention

1. YZJ-70 Type Oil Pressure Gauge shall be used under ambient temperature of -40°C~+55°C and relative humidity of not exceeding 90%.

2. Working pressure shall not exceed 75% of upper limit of measuring range to prong its working life.

3. It shall never be impacted when it is being transported and installed.

4. It shall be stored in a dry and well ventilated room so that it can be protected against damp.
