DESCRIPTION

This Machete shows how Bull Knives work is developing an increasing refinement of design while he continues to create hand-working, field-use knives. The blade was forged to shape from 1095 and 15N20 high carbon steel. Many makers and collectors feel that this is the best steel available anywhere for use as a knife blade. The blade was then differentially heat treated, bringing the edge to critical temperature then oil quenching three times. Many thermal cycles and normalizing step assure consistent grain structure. The blade was then double tempered at 250 degrees for exceptional durability. A cryogenic treatment between tempers enhances the edge holding ability. The handle is formed from Rose Wood. The curve of the handle fills the hand and provides a perfect grip, this knife intensely satisfying to hold. This is a serious field knife for the avid hunter or collector. The knife is accompanied by hand stitched pouch style Leather Sheath which incorporates the cow’s original brand. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
