Cemented carbide core pressing dieCarbide dies are a cheaper alternative to diamond and PCD dies and are often used for drawing wires from tough materials, such as carbon steel or stainless steel. Sometimes, tungsten carbide will leave a better finish on parts of a wire. We manufacture carbide dies in different shapes, like triangular, square, trapezium, hexagonal, octagonal, semicircle, stripped, flat, etc. Tungsten carbide dies are less expensive, but wear out quickly and loose size, therefore giving a shorter die life.
